Last Summer Horrah ... but more like Fall!

We traveled North for our last summer hoorah! We actually ended up with our first taste of Fall and it was fantastic! The weather was P.E.R.F.E.C.T ... the 70's never felt better after a summer of record highs in the South.

We love seeing our Michigan family and always have a great time. Tons of ATV's, outdoor fun, campfires, and Grandma Jones' Cookin!

Grandpa and Grandma Jones planned a huge get together and we were able to catch up with all of our friends and family. Thanks for everything ... we had an unforgettable time!

Fun at the Dairy Farm ... Grandma and Papa milkin' the cow :)

"Mom, are you sure Jax should be driving?" - Kota

Maybe a future athlete?

I don't think Tyson got off of the four wheeler all day ... he was in Heaven!

This girl knows how to chill

Just going for a sit ... Jax was such a climber and wants to be just like Tyson

She was curious ... but not sold ...

Maybe a future motocross rider?

Uncle Adam and his wagon rides ... they were a hit with the kids!

Do you think Tyson had been outside all day ... look at the dirt on his face! Not to dirty to cheese with Aunt Megan!

Just a few minutes later ... crashed out!

Uncle Adam was proud of this ... now that is what I call a camp fire ....

Just a few of the toys we got out over the weekend

Buddies!

Maybe a future farmer?

Rachel and Brian ... Good friends ... We miss them!

More fun at the farm

We can't wait until next time!

Coffee Table What ...

Who needs coffee tables ... when you have this!

Our living room generally turns into a play house after bathtime. Just a sneak peak at what it looks like in our house most of the time. Our goal is to use up a little energy for a peaceful bedtime. This will do it!

Happy Monday!

Remembering 9/11

Where were you that day? When you heard the news that we were under attack. I won't ever forget the feeling, hearing my mother's voice miles and miles away. The fear I felt for my country, my family, and the sadness, confusion and the strength of the emotions that took over my body for the victims.

A day like so many others in our history that changed lives, that will go down in the books, that shocked America.

God Bless our Soldiers fighting for our county and the many lives lost. Thank you to the many that risk their lives everyday while families like mine continue to live in freedom. Thank you to the many that lost their lives to save others that day, Our American Hero's.

The day the news was delivered:

Andrew Card (whispered news of attacks to Bush)

White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card, then 54, was the man who broke the news of the enormity of the attacks to President George W. Bush. A much-published photo showed the president reacting with surprise as Card whispered in his ear.

During Bush’s visit to the Emma E. Booker Elementary School in Sarasota, Fla., news had reached him that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center in what appeared to be an accident involving be a single-engine aircraft.

When the second tower was struck, Card approached the president and whispered, “A second plane hit the second tower. America is under attack.” Card then stepped away and waited for the president to excuse himself, which he did after several minutes of listening to second-graders reading a book.

Back together for the weekend!

It was like we just left Mills Hall yesterday. We were back together again for the weekend. I can remember the day we left for summer break after our first year in school. We cried like babies … we grew so close then, and we are even closer now. I love these girls … thanks so much for making the trip to “Hotlanta”

We started off with a toast … well … check out the rest for yourself ...

Cheers to great friends!

Now .. time for some fun ... 80's night!

And Rock Band!

The real rock star ... (Ryan deserves his own post:)

Some time on the Lake with a few Wakeboard attempts (they all text me all day Sunday about how sore they were)

Would not be complete without big brother and his contests ... had to let him in on the fun, he did drive us around on the boat all day. Thanks Bill!

A little rainbow action ... gotta love it!

Relaxing at the lakehouse after a great day!

Great Uncle Troy

The angels are always near to those who are grieving, to whisper to them that their loved ones are safe in the hand of God. ~ Eileen Elias Freeman

In memory of Uncle Troy, you will be missed. What a great soul.
