Grandma Rose Time!!

Grandma Rose came to visit for a few days. Tyson had a blast ... lots of play time and lots of LOVE! Tyson and Grandma spent plenty of time outside at the park and plenty of time staying up past bedtime and all of the fun things you get to do when Grandma's are around. Tyson showed Grandma how to work every toy in his toy box, hiding spots for all of his favorite snacks. We took Grandma to Sunday school and then to see all of Tyson's friends at Mrs. Elizabeth's Baby shower. What a busy weekend!

We missed you Papaw Rose ... just think, the next trip you will be retired and have more time than you know what to do with ... we can't wait!!

We are so lucky that Tyson is twice blessed with two amazing sets of Grandparents that love him more than he can understand.

From the bottom of 0ur hearts thank you for being so wonderful to our son, we could not do it without you!!

Wow How He Has Grown!

Our nights are normally fairly predictable. I pick Tyson up from daycare, we eat dinner as a family, Tyson makes a huge mess and we go straight to the bath. We spend an hour or so playing then it is time to settle down for bed. We give hugs a kisses and make our way upstairs. It seems like that is the way it has always been. When the reality of it is that is the way he has grown. Not even a year ago we were still feeding Tyson a bottle and testing out different baby food. Now he will feed himself and tell me what he wants for dinner! Tonight at the dinner table he held his plate up and pointed the only empty spot for more applesauce. It must have tasted much better than the chicken and corn : ) Then I got the video camera out to make sure to get Tyson on tape showing us his nose, eye's, ears and head! He wanted to watch the video when we were finished. I showed him a clip of when we brought him home, he blew himself kisses and said "baby" Then I realized, yep that was when you were a baby ... wow how he has grown! Tyson is such a blessing. He amazes us constantly without even trying. Just looking at the difference in 20 months is incredible. He went from moving so slow and being awake less than 5 hours a day, to laughing and running and full of never ending energy. If it has been this amazing in the past year and a half I can't even begin to imagine what is to come!

What a bunch!!

This past weekend we went to see the rest of Tyson's girlfriends! What a cute bunch of kids! The picture session was interesting. We did not expect it to go smooth so we went in with the expectation of a bumpy ride. All in all the kids did great, and well ... it does not take much to make them look sweet!

I really saw the difference in boy vs. girl this weekend. As all the other mommies were sitting while something incredibly small entertained the girls, I was running in circles chasing Tyson every square inch of the studio : ) He is so inquisitive and try’s to figure out what is going on around him every changing second. He definitely has enough energy to share!

We enjoyed our weekend at Lesley, Brad and Avery's house. They have a beautiful home and fantastic hospitality. The weekend was perfect and we were able to spend time with close friends. We are thankful that everyone was able to make the trip!

We even made a bonus trip over to see the Ash twins! Sorry about the cup holder Aimee … like I mentioned before Tyson is one hundred miles an hour.

Claire's Visit

This past weekend one of Tyson's many girlfriend's came to visit, Claire. For those of you that don't know Tyson is the only boy born out of 9 babies from our closest friends (until October when baby boy Spice arrives!)

Tyson spent the weekend showing off his toys, sharing his wagon with Claire, learning to share(this claimed to be a challenge) and tons of baby talking! The most interesting part of the visit was Tyson and Claire singing to each other at bedtime, or was that a mix of cries and screams to each other from across the hall. Whatever it was it worked, it did not take much time until they were both rescued from their cribs and up well over an hour past bedtime. Round 2 for bedtime went much smoother, they were both to worn out to fight it.

Tyson was a charmer as usual, handing out kisses like a champ! He really enjoyed the weekend with Claire! This coming weekend he will have his hands full. We are off to see 5 more of his girlfriends in Indy ... Avery, Cydni, Olivia, Ella, and Samantha : )

4th of July Weekend!

This 4th of July weekend was a little bit more relaxed than we are used to. We actually enjoyed staying home and spending time together with Tyson. We did not have much planned and the weekend still seemed to go so fast! Tyson stayed up way past his bedtime all weekend and loved every second of it : ) We watched fireworks in the neighborhood on Friday night. We could see the big show from Kings Island right in our own front yard. Saturday we spend the whole day at home, the three of us took a 3 hour nap together!! Sunday Tyson took his 1st bike ride on the Little Miami River trails (pictures to follow)
Tyson's new things this week:
Tyson let us know when he had to potty and he went on the big boy potty!!
New Words: Please, Thank You, Puppy, Nana, Shoes, Ball, Bye Bye (each at least 50 times a day, so cute)

Wow ... what a week it has been!

Well ... we made it home safe! We had an amazing week in Florida. We spent the week with Grandma and Grandpa Rose, Bill, Michelle, Billy and Sammy. The weekend was a mix between watching Billy Rose #7 play in the Best of the Best World Series for his travel baseball team and spending time at the beach. Tyson had a few firsts this past week.

First time to the beach and in the Ocean First time saying Papa and Nana (he tried Michelle : ) First time to a baseball game (and it was HOT!!!)
First time seeing Jellyfish ... 100's of them ... YIKES!
and let's not forget the first time in Memphis for our 3 hour stay in the airport ...

All in all the trip was perfect! We had a great time with my family and so happy we were able to spend it together.

(Tyson drug the camera in the sand and it stopped working for a few days so I did not get as many pictures on my camera as I would have liked) Enjoy the ones we did get!!
