Happy 4th Birthday Tyson! You are such an incredible little boy. You have grown up overnight!
Your favorites this year include: Daddy's fast Buick in the garage, your 4wheeler, wrestling, football, soccer and your baseball movie, chocolate milk, the park, school and your "best friends", homemade milkshakes, popcorn, watching home videos, mac n' cheese, racing, bookflix, puzzles, bubble baths and your comfy shorts. You LOVE "your twins" and have become such the BIG brother.
You have an amazing personality and you remind me of how lucky I am everyday.
Now ... stop growing up so fast!!!!

I've got something in my pocket ...
I've got something in my pocket, it belongs across my face.
I keep it very close at hand, in a most convenient place.
I'm sure you couldn't guess it if you guessed a long, long while.
So I'll take it out and put it on, it's a Great Big Brownie Smile!
I have been thinking a lot about my smile, I am ready to put it back on. No matter what is going on in our lives, my children have a smile on their face. It makes you think, if only my mind worked like my kids sometimes. Tyson has had a ton of questions with the loss of my Grandmother and my Uncle Mike. I try to answer the most practical way I can ... and keep just a few "white lies" floating around. Here are a few quotes from Tyson that may put a smile on your face.
"How is Great Grandma going to get to Heaven, will she take a train?"
"Where will she sleep? Maybe on the clouds?"
"How will she get her hospital bed to heaven?"
"Will God make Uncle Mike feel better?"
"Why did Uncle Mike look so much like Papa Rose?"
"Why are you sad mommy? Do you need a hug?"
No matter how small they are, they know how to heal. I love my children!

Pumpkins and Halloween
The kids had a wonderful Halloween. Our neighborhood rocked it out with hayrides, unbelievably decorated houses and tons of trick or treaters!
For comparison on pictures check out last year here.
Pictures w/ Pumpkins!
Hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

She will be missed ....
She was a beautiful, strong and amazing woman. She had a heart of gold and cared so much for others. She taught her children to be strong. She lived an amazing life full of what some only dream of. She was widowed 27 years ago and was freed of her pain today. She went on to be with the Lord. Although we will miss her here on Earth her memories will last our lifetime. We love you and miss you!

18 Months
My "babies" are 18 months old ... really?!?!
Jaxson Thomas - 18 lbs 14 oz / 29 inches tall - 3rd percentile
He is a little guy but he has a big heart! Such a sweetie and incredibly smart. (I was not trying to rhyme)
He is doing much better with is eating, we have learned what works with his habits. Just have to keep up the pace. He repeats almost any word, his favorite thing to do right now is drop something and say uh-oh, point the the dog and say d-o-o--g-i-i-e-e-e .. very drawn out and so dang cute!
Dakota Rose - 21 lbs 11 oz / 31 inches tall - 15th percentile in weight / 50th percentile in height
Dakota is right on track, such a sweetie. She finally started to walk but still is a little unstable because of her hips. We are going on for an x-ray just to make sure there is nothing abnormal going on. She has a wide stance and seems to look a bit uncomfortable with her left leg at times. The doctor says nothing a little physical therapy couldn't fix. They were a bit cramped in my belly! She is trying out all of her vowels and loves to sing, clap her hands and dance to the music!
My babies are growing so fast!! These pictures show their personalities.
Jaxson is our little monkey, always climbing, laughing and acting silly! We were trying on Halloween costumes, he hated the monkey outfit so we had to find something else!

Miss thing ... such a princess. She wanted the camera and I would not give it to her. She is a true Rock Star ... and can normally get her way with mommy, she has me figured out!

Festivals
Tis the season for festivals ... fall festivals, food festivals, pumpkin festivals, apple festivals, school festivals, Halloween festivals, chili cookin' festivals and breast cancer awareness festivals... we hit them this past week!
Between soccer, school, the neighborhood and our town we have been overwhelmed with festivals!
The kids love them and the weather has been perfect ... so festival away!

We don't take a stroller for Tyson anymore so he normally ends up on Daddy's shoulders :)
Papaw was making them giggle (note the cowgirl boots ... she loves them!)
On the left, my mom's sister (Aunt Gail) me and my mom. We joined them at the Taste of Acworth for the day.
Tyson had to check out the trampoline bungee!

I just love this picture ... now this is bliss.
Happy Festivals!!
On a more serious note, we need to take time to ask each of you for your prayers:
Prayers for my dad and his family. My grandmother and my uncle need your thoughts and prayers. Also, prayers for my mother in laws family. Our Great Aunt also needs your thoughts and prayers. Each of them are struggling with different facts of life. Lord please be with my Uncle Mike as he battles cancer, my Grandmother and Aunt Janette as they trust in you to care for them as they age.

Jaxson's 1st
The Good ...
First Haircut!
First Haircut!
It was a family Affair!
Mommy let Dakota sit in the chair ... but we are growing those curls. No haricut for this princess yet :)
The Bad ...
First trip to the ER. Jaxson decided to run forehead first in to the corner of the wall. He gets so excited sometimes he forgets to look where he is running.
I am not sure how was hurting more during the hospital visit ... me or Jaxson. Grandma was there for support but we were all teary eyed!
The lump is actually the numbing medicine the hospital used before giving him his stitches ... 3 total.
A couple days into healing ... they said he will grown out of his scar.
His hair is gowing out so fast ... it will be time for haircut number 2 soon!
He is so sweet, you see right passed that boo boo :)
There is a 1st time for everything!!
