Jaxson Thomas

Dean Jaxson,

You are our little fireball and so very independent. You completely amaze us with the amount of energy you keep built up in that tiny body of yours. You are incredibly smart for your age and really mind your own business. You are so inquisitive and will contently conquer your challenges. You love putting things together and taking them apart. You are a climber and a runner. You love to giggle. You let your twin sister get her way, if she wants the toy you have you kindly give it to her and move on to the next best thing. You love your older brother and want to try everything he does. You talk your own language. You love music, you stop as soon as you hear any kind of rhythm and dance to your own tune. You love to clap your hands. You wave goodbye. You constantly rub your fingers through your hair. You point to you nose. You can say Jaxson and "JJ." You don't like meal time; you do like to make it a game. You love to throw your sippy cup and hear the loud noise when it hits the floor. You run to us when we come home from work and grin. You love bath time, love to splash; love to put your face in the water. You love to blow kisses and give people hugs. You love shoes; you always want them on your feet. You love the Tupperware cabinet. You love your Grandpa's and Nana's. You are so sweet.

Jaxson you are loved!

Jaxson update:

Well, with this little guy being our fireball, he burns more calories than we can get him to eat. Jaxson has always been on the small side, but recently he fell off even the premature chart. The doctor has him on a high calorie / high fat diet to see if can get him to gain a little weight. We have gone through significant change since 12 months. Walking, sippy cups and the transfer to all table food could all be causes. We have weight checks every 2 weeks to make sure he stays on track. Most recent weight was 17.8 lbs. The goal is to be over 20 by 18 months. So far he loves Pediasure and hotdogs … seems to be our saving grace right now. Any suggestions from anyone with a “failure to thrive” as the doctor calls it, child would be greatly appreciated!

He is perfect in our eyes, but we want to make sure he is healthy too!

Cute pics Brooke--I've been thinking about you! Underweight? Yes, but he looks like he's thriving just fine! Hugs to you all!
